if possible it should be toggleable in the user CP.

have it on default for new members but give us the option to remove it.

Unfortunately this will not be possible.

In order to do this, every post would have to parsed at runtime which would rack up resources like mad. And that is without even taking queries into account.

So, in short, far too resource intensive, even now, and would just get worse later on.

Great idea, just too much of a resource hog
