I appreciate you trying to give some feedback or something, not really sure why you're posting on every single person's idea, but I don't know everything. You're missing the point... Once the ventrilo is created you can set channels however Shane feels necessary. What the whole thread/discussion is about right now is -- Why? How? Would it benefit Masked Crusader. Go back and re-read what I said and tell me if it makes more sense to you.

-- send the information after 1 week join date / 10+ posts (yes, I know you can give the information to your friends but this will also help with activity on the forums)

and from there we'll be able to moderate the channels as far as sub-channels, bans, kicks, etc.

I wasn't calling your entire post pointless. I disagreed with waiting to release the vent info for 1 week from the join date, Since those who knew about it would just have to ask for it, but what about the new guys? I wouldn't want to restrict new members and make them wait a week to get access to vent if they didn't have any friends to provide them with the info. What if they are trying to trade/sell an account and dont know what to do? or what if they had a question about a site?
Having access to the vent could be a great resource for new members.
What i recommended was including the vent info in a automated welcome private message for everyone who completes the registration to the website.

Pointless was the wrong way to put it. I understand that you want to promote the new users to be active.

Just make clear rules that the vent server can't be used for personal gaming experiences. And if it is noted and see you do you wil be banned from it.

I'd like to weigh my opinion here. Something like a Masked Crusader Ventrilo should be something user provided if anything. There are so many ventrilo servers out there, and with the growing number of skype users out there most people find skype to be the more superior VOIP option.

Something Masked Crusader needs to focus on is getting more users. I know a lot of you envisioned Markee Dragon as a "Community", but the truth is the community is mainly the people who visit for maybe a few days to buy or sell a character. They usually don't stick around for long, a select few stick around and become a variety of things. They do, however, refer their friends and their friends use this site for their dealings.

So what we need to do is bring new people in, and focusing energy on an unnecessary MC only ventrilo server isn't going to bring people in. I do think it would be cool, but not something that the staff needs to spend their time setting up and maintaining.

Because the truth is what we all want is MC to succeed, and for that to happen we need to continue to bring in the people who stick around for a short period of time.

I am with ToonVendor on what was stated above. A MC ventrilo is just not in the cards. The staff has other priorities at this time and does not want to dedicate resources to such an undertaking.

My apologies for the inconvenience all and I hope you can understand this for the staffs' point of view.
