Victim of Paypal's success?
With my lifetime ban, partially caused by slow responses to disputes (communication with partners is everything), it is virtually impossible to buy anything on ebay.
According to the evasive paypal reps, if a seller chooses only to accept PayPal, then there is nothing that I can do.
Surprisingly enough, the sellers at eBay (eBay OWNS paypal), don't choose to offer anything substantial (i.e. Google Checkout) other than PayPal.
Curious, I took a look. They actually have a bunch of **** decisions, and then PayPal on a pedestal. Nobody likes ****, so they all pick PayPal. They also get the marketing lingo and perception that leads them to believe that PayPal will take credit cards. They will not! You'll need to sign up for an account first. So the sellers on Ebay get mislead and think they have good coverage for strong sales. They don't.
Obviously Paypal is so massively successful that all the sellers only chose them and it's the seller's fault that my credit card can't be processed. Obviously I should vent at the sellers, not at PayPal.
Amazon.com has a much superior and by far simpler solution. As a buyer you can pay any ****ing way you want to. As a seller, you'll get a check from Amazon in a month.
Ebay should take lesson from Amazon instead of penalizing millions of sellers and also missing a lot of sales in the process.
As far as PayPal, I think they need more lawyers that are hellbent on suing them with a class action lawsuit.
