That's a good question, since Steve was an incredible innovator.
I am sure the company has plenty of other innovators on staff. Hopefully they are in positions where they will be listened to.
I consider myself very lucky to be an innovator that has finally made it into management. Any company I've ever worked at, I've instinctively found better ways of doing things (improved HP print testing output 300% on one project), making things (reduced RMAs by finding a design flaw which was causing customers to break print trays since the way they 'looked' like they should be inserted, was actually stressful on the tray.), etc.
The problem is... most of the time I had great ideas, nothing happened. That is the fate of almost all natural innovators. If someone ever paid me to sit in a chair and think for their company, I'd make them millions. If was frustrating to see such a monstrous gap between potential benefit, and actualized benefit.
Then one day someone paid me to sit in a chair and think. My best work was account trade for PA. My work realized over half a million gross profit. In three days, I wrote another change request which brought in $100,000 over the next year. Other people might have been able to do similar work, but it would not have been AS profitable.
I think that is where Apples stands now without Steve. They'll still have innovation, but it won't be AS good, and they'll still drive great profits for their investors, but it will never be like the "glory days" when Apple was on the bleeding edge of everything.
I believe they know what they've lost, and they'll seek a qualified replacement.

Steve Jobs, albeit an inspiring individual, had an amazing team of almost equally inspiring individuals that backed him. People tend to attribute all, or even most of Apple's success to his accomplishments. That's like saying that America is only as good as it's Presidents were.
Apple will continue to grow. Although they are now one of most common household names out there, they provide a service that other tech companies don't. They offer a different approach to very common electronics. It would be foolish for them to abandon that approach, and I doubt they will.
I do think, however, that we will see a decrease in awe-inspiring apple products. I don't attribute this to Jobs' death, but rather his success. After changing the way the world sees MP3 players, mobile phones and laptop/desktop computing, many competitor companies are starting to follow suit. This is making it increasingly more difficult for Apple to maintain that standard of innovation, while still creating a valuable product.

Steve Job is an iconic legend who changes the world and life. Life is boring without he's production. Maybe they can still maintain Apple's productivity even Steve is gone but not pretty sure.
