[Professional] KineticColor Design Studio
Hi! My name is Justin
And I am a freelance graphic designer based out of San Francisco, California. I am also a student at Savannah College of Art and Design working toward my BFA in Graphic Design. I focus on branding, web and application design.
I thought it would be a good idea to post my wares on this forum after seeing this section and the healthy competition. I have always been close to the gaming community, having sold my share of accounts etc. and I know there are lots of reasons why you may need a logo, site, or design to stand out in your business on the site. Whether your guild needs a website or your account selling service needs something to look amazing I am there to help you guys out. Which is why I am offering a 1/3rd off discount from my normal rate to anyone who mentions this post or contacts me via these forums. --My normal rate is $75/hr for design, making my 'friendly' rate at $50 an hour, which for a graphic designer at my level is ridiculously low.
However, I also understand that my price is significantly higher than alot of the other designers around here. I am sure we can work something out if you get in contact with me.
Feel free to browse my portfolio via my website. I just finished updating my portfolio site so the works section is a little skimpy but I can always send more examples the good old fashion way-- email (as odd as that sounds).

I don't believe in bumps without content.
Just a quick update, been working on a couple wow oriented sites recently.
Here is a great example (it's for a private server)

Re: [Professional] KineticColor Design Studio
Very disappointing experience with Kineticcolor.com Talked at length about the desire for a Cataclysm themed redesign, prepaid half quote price, and the attached mock up was what was shown. Not the right theme, not what we had discussed at all.
I took a chance and tried to use an independent designer, should have known better.
In my estimation, for the cost, you can locate much better designers. Additionally, upon notice to contractor of complete disappointment, no offer at all of any sort of refund of deposit, ($325).

You should make a scammer thread, that is no way a cataclysm styled site.

Seriously Chadwick?
Honestly working with the above poster has been one of the most excruciating experiences for me. Primarily Chadwick asked for a full site redesign. I offered him a the regular WoW discount because I love the WoW community although I no longer play.
While talking with him extensively I managed work out what he wanted to do with his website. He said that he wanted to maintain the existing layout but still redo the site (although he did want a few new changes and movements of elements).
I worked with Chadwick to get these items done and racked about 2+hrs worth of talking to him on the phone. He talked of eventually getting a logo done but not at this time (hence the banner area remaining open). After about 5hrs worth of work I sent him the file pictured. Keep in mind this was a milestone screenshot on a 10hr estimate... so we had plenty of time to alter the site. I have never had a client that was unpleased with the end product due to the fact that I am willing to stretch estimated hours without moving the cost over to the client (i'd rather have a referral rather than 100USD more and a disgruntled client). As far as a Cataclysm themed site is concerned, he requested a "clean style" site redesign and was actually not sure about the color scheme that he wanted was. I was fine with that and designed the site with the intention of changing the colors (the .psd is formatted so that the colors of the major UI elements can be easily changed). Finally Chadwick requested a Cataclysm colored theme and these are the colors that we settled on. He was very concerned with page size (in bytes not pixels) and we settled on a basic gradient style (pretty common in sites designed in 2010) due to the smaller page size.As stated before he wanted something clean and never requested something that looked medieval themed.
He actually linked a site or two that followed the same design philosophies pictured in the screenshot he linked above.
After sending him my then current position he completely changed his take on site design stating that he wanted image replacement of his current design rather than a full site redesign. I told him that I was fine with this and wouldn't alter the quote at all. We could begin from scratch all I would need would be the /img folder from his website directory. Originally he was fine with this and said he would get it to me in the next day. Honestly he seemed in a state of dismay and I don't like it when my clients are in that position which led to my more than tolerant attitude. At this point, sure, I have had better clients but then again I had had ones much harder to please.
Then, he said that he had completely changed his mind and would rather just do the site design himself.
I told him that I have never had a client unhappy with my work and would prefer to appease him. He said that he wanted to cut his losses (in regards to the deposit and time) and that he would much rather deal with his in house designer (until this point I was not aware that he had one).
I told him that I understood and sent him the .psd (so he would have something to show for his deposit). Since then he has reversed the Paypal deposit (which knowing paypal's claims process I will not get back). If anything I should be the one opening a scam thread. After seeing his post on my thread that discredits my abilities I can safely say that I have never had a worse client.
That being said, I messaged him earlier today (before seeing this post) saying that I was still willing to work things out. I still am willing.

Despute this in a scam thread or some were else in my opinion. so that your thread doesn't get flamed with unwanted posts.
I can see were keneticcolor is coming from, but i dont have a for sure opnion (if it matters) till i can see valid prof backing your story kinetic.

Re: [Professional] KineticColor Design Studio
He escalated it as a paypal claim... I won. Which is pretty sad considering that he is an account seller and should be pretty good about winning those.
That being said, he really can't deny anything I said. I definitely wasn't lying. My offer to make it up to him still stands btw
Been working on alot of projects recently such as this banner for a company called Nomosa that provides a way for Artists to sell their goods. Keep in mind I didn't design the whole site, just the banner.

The old banner can be viewed here for a few more days
