hey guys i recently purchased a asus g73 over an alienware and i think i made a mistake... lol the asus is good n all but keeps over heating on me and im not to fond of it =\ any ideas ? thx

I have recently been looking into purchasing an ASUS laptop myself, researching the the g60, g71 and g73. Upon reading reviews I'm going to end up buying the g60 (priced at $999), it was rated 4.6 stars out of 5 (the highest rated laptop of the three). My reason for doing so (in addition to my other research) is due to this video right here . As you can see, the g60 keeps up beat to beat with the g71, which is exactly identical to the g73 minus a few gigs of ram and other minuscule adjustments. From everything I read the g73 is known to overheat, and requires a pretty heavy duty cooling pad to function properly (which is kind of a pain). Truthfully I would return the g73 in favor of the g60. Although it is slightly inferior, all customer reviews sing praises of the model and I'm more than sure it can play any game perfectly. You would also be saving a small fortune and could possibly use the leftover cash to buy warranty, a monitor or whatever. There have been ridiculous amounts of reported problems with the G73. I wouldn't touch that thing with a 10' pole to be honest. I'd go with a different company all together, until they get their shizz straight.
